Examples[]

Supers examples[]

  • Supers p30 mentions after Supersuit in the Perks section "minor applications of a hero’s powers, comparable to the benefits of Accessory or Shtick" listing Burrower then Climbing Line then Generator then Ignition then Illumination then Perfume then Periscope then Striking Surface
  • Climbing Spikes on Supers p43 is part of the Cat's Claws meta-trait. The +2 it gives to the Climbing skill is much cheaper than buying this as a racial skill modifier, which would cost 4 points (2 per +1). This is also cheaper than getting +1 for a 2nd point in the skill when one has just one point in it. The downside is obviously that spikes are VISIBLE and also might perhaps damage some surfaces.
    • putting 1 point in climbing is a better investment for those who lack the skill which would buy it up from DX-5 to DX-1 (+4) but this would not be possible for those with Incompetent in climbing (who could still get a racial bonus or an accessory)
      • Dabbler is another way: +3 for 1/2 point, +2 for 1/4 point, +1 for 1/8 point
  • Supers 44 mentions that Generator and Ignition and Lamp and Periscope are all accessories
  • Supers 46 introduces an Accessory Perks only limitation for Reconfigurable Mechanisms and S80 also mentions it under Gizmos
  • Supers 86 Apparatus mentions it: "similar to taking an Accessory for a character, but it can include larger items on a scale suited to the headquarters, so long as these don’t provide more than minor benefits"
