Accidental Supers is the idea that Supers mentions in passing but is elaborated in Powers.

Physical Environment is not formally mentioned but it does count as John Carter has "super" powers because Mars has lesser gravity than Earth. Similarly in Superman's original origin Kryptonians were the apex of human evolution and the difference in environment idea was carried over as in later stories humans would get Superman like powers under blue suns.
