Louis B. Mayer frowned as he read over the list again. "You are sure this isn't a joke?"
"From everything we have seen the offer is legit, sir," said the secretary.
"But many of these are silent films and others...well the details simply don't make sense."
"I guess their history went differently."
"I know but...London after Midnight was nothing compared to Lon Chaney's best film Dracula."
"Evidently he died over there before the film could be made."
"Ok. Who played Dracula in their version?"
"Beli Lugosi."
"But he was Frankstein's Monster."
"In a later film but not in their Frankenstein."
"So who played the monster?"
"Boris Karloff."
"But he was Doctor Frankenstein."
"In a much later film but not their 1931 Frankenstein."
Mayer sighed. "This difference in details appears in other films too. Take The Wizard of Oz for example. The cast almost lined up except for the Tin Woodsman. Jack Haley instead of Buddy Ebsen? How'd that happen?"
"An allergic reaction to the make up."
"He was allergic to the paste in their world?"
"No they used the powder version first."
Mayer shook his head. "I nearly did the same thing here. Well let's go over this list again and see what we can do with it."
